2009: The Year In Review. "Did we really do all that?"

Like most of you, it's hard to believe that 2009 has come and gone. Looking back through some of our posts, it really hit home just how much went on during last year. And, in the midst of less than perfect conditions, what a great year it was for Dalcorp Racing and AREA 51. With continued support from our long time sponsors Good Neighbor Pharmacy, PetroSpecs/BG Oil Products, Chicago Title Insurance and AVCOMM Racing Products we were able to continue our programs without interruption and with great results. We also want to thank CROW Safety Gear for coming on board and giving us their support. The highlight of the year would have to be winning class and the overall "Top Eliminator" title at Bug-In 34 last May in Fontana with top fuel pilot Wyatt Radke behind the wheel. Erica also had some great runs in the Cobalt including a runner up finish at the IDRC West Coast Nationals also at Fontana. Throw in some Summit races, appearances at several schools for career day programs, car shows and all the parties and special events at AREA 51...it was a busy year for the Dalcorp Race Team. As we set the schedule for 2010 it doesn't appear that we'll be slowing down any. In fact, we'll be campaigning the GNP/BG Oil '66 Nova a lot more this year so it's going to be even busier. We're looking forward to a great 2010! We hope you'll all come along for the ride!!

Kristy was back in the seat of the Chevelle for
a little testing since becoming a mom. Way to
go, Kris!!!

Bug-In 34....The Top Eliminator title!

Wyatt and AJ at a Summit race. It's all good.

"Show me the money!"

Pete Selders at Fontana.

Curt Gibson's "Family 500" after school program.

Lorenzo Rodriguez and Erica Nocita with Curt
Gibson talking with the kids...and the adults. I
think the "big kids" had as much fun as the real
kids!

Another win for Margaret "Mahgy Davis" with
some of the granddaughters in tow.

Kimberly's first solo jump towards her AFF
license.

....and we love a parade!

Bradoaks Elementary School; one of our favorite
stops each year.

Another LA Marathon win for Mahgy.

A stop at Cloverly Elementary School in Temple
City. What a great day.

Kim was checking off the jumps towards her
license.

Family and friends joined Kimberly for her AFF
licensing jump. It was a party!

Debbie Nocita, the "D" in Dalcorp, took to the
skies so as not to be outdone by her daughter.
Way to go, mom!

An evening out at The Marconi Automotive
Museum and a night with Broadway stars!
What a setting for almost any event. Check it
out by visiting their blog:

"Mooneyes" owner Chico Kodama and his wife
Sandy at the Street Rods Forever car show
in Monrovia. Chico was the grand marshal of
the event.

Kimberly not only got her AFF license but now
has nearly 100 jumps under her belt...or should
we say parachute! Pat McGowan (left) was Kim's
AFF instructor and has over 15,000 jumps. Drop
zone manager Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld is a true
legend in the sport and has 30,000+ jumps...hang
in there, Kim. You'll get there!

Paff and Nocita together for the first time on
stage for "Paz Naz's Got Talent."

Nocita and Son Trucking had the opportunity to
transport the WD-40 2010 Camaro to the SEMA
Show in Las Vegas and eventually to the Barrett-
Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ where it was
auctioned off for charity. It sold for $75,000!

of "It's a Wonderful Life."
AREA 51 was party central for 2009. Below are
some of the events that we had the privilege to
host throughout the year. Who has more fun
than all of these people?

Long time Dalcorp friend, "Ernie the Attorney"
stepped up for Dalcorp Racing when Erica had
a scheduling conflict and made an exhibition run for
almost 10,000 LA County high schoolers before
the World Finals in Pomona. Thanks, Ernie!

Thanks to all of you who came through the doors
at AREA 51, visited us at the track and gave us
your support throughout the 2009 season. It was
an outstanding year! Here's hoping that 2010 is
even better!!!
